Léocadie

2017

2016

Léocadie Kando finished her course at the end of June 2015. She passed with an average of 11.73, which is respectable. But she didn’t pass the test for Government Service. So she will try to get an internship at one of the five or six clinics around Koudougou. She will take the next test for Government Service in August. (Day 10.)

Meanwhile, she still lives with an uncle who will house and feed her.

2015

Léocadie’s nursing school is a work in progress.

2014

Léocadie is in her second year of nursing school in Koudougou. She’s doing well. She showed us a recent paper on which she received 14/20, which is very good.

She still lives with her sister Nathalie, although Nathalie no longer has her apartment in central Koudougou. We didn’t ask why, but they have moved in with an uncle who lives on the outskirts.

Léocadie attended a briefing on our new Health Fund (right). She dropped out of high school when she had a terrific bout of typhoid. We encouraged her not to give up. She didn’t.

She got accepted at a nursing school and had a good first year. We hope that with the help of the Health Fund, she’ll get all her inoculations and stay in school.
